Fishing is what you make it! I have had this passion since childhood. Something that can be enjoyed alone or with great company! I was attracted to this sport like a butterfly to the flower! It was a bit unusual for me ( a gal) when growing up and had no one around that had this passion. My dad did not like fishing , my sister did not like fishing, even my brothers who were much older and consumed in other sports or things they enjoyed more.
Goes back to me being independent and doing what I wanted to do. I enjoyed travel and bought a new bike so I could ride up to the lake (miles away) so I could go fishing. Mostly with a neighbor or coaching a friend to try it. Mostly always caught something but had a few adventures and new experiences along the way! Building character learning new methods to accomplish my goals, this is not just catching fish, it had been about the challenge, art, science, and all of that put together!
Does that sound boring to you? Not to me ! .. I wanted more, and had to figure out a way to get it.
I stated with lake fishing and mainly trout, perch, catfish. Graduated years late r to slat water and all types of different fish. Lastly fishing a bit on big game fish on occasion when i visited a far away paradise like Grenada or the Keys..
Anyone need a fishing buddy? You never know what might work! So good company is almost always welcomed, especially when all the other attribute are in line! Are we on the same page? Lets fish!
